Do what you believe in

Coming to the 10th grade was really exciting. The final year of fun and enjoyment, the sweet sixteen years for many and suddenly a feeling that the next choice you make is going to have a huge impact on your life. A sudden interest of relatives and friends in your life and studies. People you did not even know about start calling you and asking you how your life is going and what you have thought about doing after 10th. 10th standard has a huge impact on your life, on your studies, future, reputation, career etc.

Do what you believe in

10th is the most crucial part of your life like people often say that the amount of hard work you put in this year and the coming 5-6 years you enjoy its benefits for the rest of your life. In this big year, you also make the most treasured and cherished memories with your friends, friends who will be with you for the rest of your life. People often say that the friends you make in 10th are the ones who are the closest to you and stay with you till the very end. If we actually look at it then 10th is not that difficult as we say it is or make such big fuzz about it. 10th just needs a lot of attention and hard work than other classes probably even double the effort we put in 9th. We feel that it is really difficult because we are made to believe the fact that 10th is big deal and the turning point in life.

If it is not that difficult why then do we have so much of problems? That is simply because we children are not that savvy about spending time on studies on a regular basis or work hard for anything in this world of technology. We give more importance to Facebook, YouTube etc. and by the time we finally realise that these things will not get us anywhere and don’t really matter now it’s too late we have already had our midterms and spoiled our results. We take the time to realise the fact that success is not when facebook finds us but when Google does. Even after knowing all this, the reality of life somehow we never work for it. After coming to 10th all of a sudden you start seeing life in a different way, people show their true colours, you become matured and every little childish thing seems to irritate you, you start distinguishing between sugar and salt. This is also the time when we tend to get distracted easily, try new things etc.

The most important point of my writing this is that do what your heart says, do something you are passionate about. When your parents say that engineer or doctor is all you can be then don’t listen to them because even if you do become one you won’t be happy leading that life and your frustration will affect your social well-being as well. If you want to become a doctor or engineer go ahead no one is stopping you. Do what you believe in, become what you have always dreamt of being, make your passion your dream job, no work is small if you love doing it. If you are determined and are ready to work hard for what you dream then no one can stop you from achieving what you believe in.
